- We decided to leave Minneapolis and move to Louisville so that Rick could take a new position with SVS (a Ceridian owned company).
- We undertook the great house hunt in Louisville and worked to sell our home in Minneapolis.
- Rick moved to Louisville, while Shelly finished up busy season with EY.
- Shelly took a leave of absence from EY to move to Louisville to be with Rick at the end of our pregnancy.
- We learned that our baby was not growing in utero and began closely monitoring her several times a week......so much for exploring our new city! I was stuck on the couch!
- The great house hunt came to an end! On May 26th we purchased our new home.
- On May 27th, baby Mae was born via c-section..... What an absolutely amazing day. Could cry just thinking about it.
- May 28th: All of our household goods arrive from Minneapolis.
- We brought our little peanut home from the hospital to a home that was gracious set up with love by my mom (Carolyn), Rick's parents (Bob and Carmie), and Rick. WOW! What an amazing blessing!
- We lived in la-la land for several months... just loving on each other and our little peanut.
- We sold our house in Minneapolis! WOHOO!!!!!
- Shelly started back to work for EY working telecommuting and working part-time....what a change!!!
- And we haven't listed out the changes and growth we've had on a personal level (i.e. the changes that all this change created in us as individuals).
We definitely feel that 2009 was FULL of amazing blessings! We couldn't be happier with how 2009 went and are excited to see what 2010 has to bring!
Happy New Year to all of our family and friends!
Sharing the holiday with Rick, Shelley and Mae was a wonderful highlight of the season. Sometimes we forget how children affect a family....Mae and the love her parents show was a great reminder of the importance of family. Shelly is right they are in love with Mae. It shows with every one of their actions. It doesn't seem that long that Rick was Mae's age... I wasn't provledge to know Shelly at that age but I bet she was a beauty (just like Mae).
ReplyDeleteThank you Rick and Shelly for being here at Christmas and sharing your daughter with Uncle Lester and myself. Wish it was possible to see you at all holidays but we a gratefull for the ones we share. Love Aunt Andrea
