WOW! It's been way too long since I made an entry! Life has been full of fun the last month and a half. Let's see.. where to begin. In Mid-November, Mae's Auntie Allison and Auntie Megan came to Louisville to visit! It was so much fun. Al and Megan are two of my college roomies and we LOVE them! Just to brag on them a bit.... Allison has her PhD in psychology and is working in Chicago. And Megan is working on her PhD in Chemical Engineering at Ohio State. SMART COOKIES! :) The kicker is that they are gorgeous too!
Megan (the blond on the right) and her husband Adam are expecting a baby May 1st!!!! I can't wait!
Then, there was Thanksgiving, which included a trip to both Cleveland and Clyde. We had a fantastic time with our families. I can't even begin to describe how thankful Rick and I were this Thanksgiving. God has showered us with blessing after blessing this year and our hearts are so full.
Mae is getting to be more and more fun with each passing day. She is so generous with her smiles (although they are hard to catch with the camera.... the flash distracts her). She is about to crawl, but in the meantime, she's happy to "roll" to where ever she's headed. She loves to play on the floor with her books and toys. She also LOVES a bouncer that we are borrowing from some of our new Louisville friends, Kate and James. (see pic below). Everything ends up in her mouth and her first tooth poked through just last week. She still measures in the 95% for height and 70% for weight. She definitely had her work cut out for her when she was born (weighing 5 1/2pounds) but she's definitely made up for that. :) She'll be 7 months old on the 27th of December. We just can NOT believe it.
We are really excited for Christmas! Just the other day, we took Mae to see Santa! She loved him! She couldn't take her eyes off of him. She was sporting one of her Christmas dresses (when you have as many Christmas' as we do, you need a lot of Christmas dresses). Rick even left work for a few minutes so we could go as a family. Loved it!
Merry Christmas everyone! So fantastic to celebrate the birth of Christ after having a little one of your own. Such gifts from God.
Mae is getting so big! Her Christmas dress is adorable!!
